How and when did you become a fan? I became a fan when I watched Michael win 8 medals in the Athens Olympics. That made him the biggest achiever in terms of individual medals in a single olympic (4 Golds, 1 Bronze).
What is the one thing you admire most about Michael?His all-roundedness as a great swimming talent, a college student, and also a person of good morals. I like the way he handled his DUI case, and said "you have to be responsible for your actions". I hope he continues promoting the sport of swimming.
Which of Michael's races is your favorite? I love watching him go head-to-head with Ian Crocker in the 100m Fly. It's like watching Ben-hur and Messala in a chariot race.
If you could spend one day with Michael what would you do? As a competitive swimmer, I would definitely like to race Michael Phelps in the 100m Fly and 200m Free, and make him share his swimming secrets with me.
What would you like to see Michael achieve in the future? I would like to see him win 6 Golds and 2 Silvers in Beijing 2008. This will increase his influence on youths and others to take up swimming as a sport.
Why should you be Fan of the Month? Because I am not a fan who just watches Michael and hopes he does well. I am actually training hard to be like Michael, and swim in the Olympics.
