WELCOME
You've stumbled upon my fansite for the amazingly talented swimmer, Michael Phelps. You'll be able to find all the latest news, images, and other extras on Mr. Phelps. Take a look around, thanks for visiting, and come back soon!
Don't know what to say. I thought MrPhelps.com might be back by now, but it's looking more and more like that isn't going to happen.
I apologize to any of you who may still visit as I had previously said that there was hope. I was just passing along what I was told, which turned out to be a whole lot of "talk" and not a lot of action.
It looks like we may be moving in a different direction as far as Mike's web presence; one that does not include this site. So, for the time being, I wouldn't expect there to be updates here.
Instead, visit MGoSwim for the latest. But that's only going to be through the Olympics since, as you know, Mike will be moving back to Baltimore and won't be a part of Club Wolverine anymore.
Again, I apologize for what's gone on here, but it's entirely out of my hands. All I can do is wait and see what's next.
Transitioning...
Some things are going on and there may be an update on MrPhelps.com's site status in the coming weeks. So keep your eyes open and check back!
Due to the constant spamming on MrPhelps.com with the permission of Suz, the admin. You will now need to register to comment. It is simple, easy, and will help me (Kiwi) stay sane. I really hope that it won't keep many of you from commenting. I know that many of you are loyal vistors and help make the site interesting with feedback and questions.
Note: I am somewhat controlling what is said in the comments while MrPhelps is on indefinite hiatus. Feel free to keep each other up to date if you have information to share.

I know many of you have been asking about the song that is used in Mike's Speedo commercial. I put the question to Speedo and they have identified it for us.
The song is called "Put Your Hands Up" by Skeewiff and you can purchase the song from iTunes, if so you so desire!
In the latest instalment of the successful “Speedo Make Waves” podcast series, Speedo catches up with Michael Phelps following his record-breaking performance at the 12th FINA World Championships.
Now available at www.speedo.com/podcasts and via iTunes, Phelps, swimming’s hottest property, looks back at his amazing performance in Melbourne and shares some insight into what it takes to win seven gold medals.
Phelps talks about his preparation and training prior to the Championships and why he wasn’t surprised about his incredible seven golds but was surprised by the extent of his success. He also speaks about fulfilling his goals, the boost wearing the new FASTSKIN FS-PRO gave him, and he even reveals what he was listening to before he made history in the pool.
The entire series of podcasts are available at www.speedo.com/podcasts and can also be downloaded and subscribed to from iTunes.
Stephanie has also sent in some of her pictures from Duel in the Pool, and I've just added them to the gallery. You can see them here. Thanks, Stephanie!

How does it feel to be the planet's fastest-ever swimmer? Paul Casey, DUBLIN It's definitely something I'm very proud of. I usually don't think about it like that. I think of it as something I love to do, and I'm just having fun with it.
What sacrifices have you had to make for swimming? Anne Huang, CHICAGO Growing up in high school, I wasn't hanging out with friends every day or on the weekends. Doing normal high school kid things was something I was willing to give up. I know I won't have opportunities like this in the sport for the rest of my life, so I should take advantage of them while I can.
I'm a swimmer too, and I've been on a local team for six years and love it. I'm pretty good, but my butterfly isn't very good. What's your secret? Kathryn Wertheimer WHIPPANY, N.J. Those things are hard for me to answer. One of the things I've done recently is really worked on the underwater kick to build momentum off the wall from underwater.Read More ...
